【Message】

大切な人、祖父母への想いを込めた作品です。

一人の祖父は宮大工でした。

彼が手掛けた作品の一部、西洋建築と和の建築、相反する建築を並べました。

祖父は私が小さくころに亡くなったため、記憶にはありません。

とはいえ、彼が手掛けた作品の前に立つと、彼が生きていた証を感じ、数十年前にここに立ち、同じ景色を見ていたと思うと考え深く、彼の存在をしっかりと時空を超えて感じました。

もう一人の祖父は12月の私が生まれる5日前に亡くなりました。

クリスマス前の華やかさはその出来事があるからか逆に寂しさを感じるときもあります。

とはいえ、聖なる神秘的な12月は祖父と私を「光」や「祈り」が繋いでいてくれている気がします。

そして大好きな祖母の存在も描きました。

彼女と繋がっていると感じるのは花。

幼いころ亡くなった祖母と亡くなる前に「元気になったら近くのお花屋さんに一緒に行く」と勝手に思っていました。

その願いは叶わなかったけれど、だからこそ花を見ると彼女と繋がっていると感じます。

It is a work that put thoughts on important people, grandparents.

One grandfather was a temple carpenter. Some of his works, Western architecture and Japanese architecture, and conflicting architecture are lined up.

I don't remember his grandfather because he died when I was little. However, when I stand in front of his work, I feel proof that he was alive.

I felt beyond time and space.

Another grandfather passed away five days before I was born in December.

The gorgeousness before Christmas sometimes feels lonely because of that event. However, I feel that "light" and "prayer" are connected.
